2-Vessel Example (Steam):

1.1   1 Unit – Insulated Mash/Lauter Tun

  • 304ss Insulated Lauter Tun, Vessel interior and exterior are #4 brushed finish. Vessel bottom and cylindrical sides are insulated with ~100mm of high heat, Rockwool insulation, 20” glass top manway. Solid Rectangular 18” side manway allows for easy access and grain out portage.
  • 304ss Raking Assembly with 6 cutting knives and variable frequency drive speed controller. Reversible manual lift spent grain discharge feature to allow spent grain to be automatically discharged from side manway.
  • Gear Drive 2 HP Motor for raking assembly, High Torque Reversible motor allows for grain to be discharged from side manway of vessel. 230/460V; 3ph 60HZ.
  • 304ss Wedge Wire Screens, 0.7mm constructed in 3 sections and firmly affixed to vessel floor, removable sections allow screen sections to be removed. 5 wort draw off concentric ports provides even run off for Lauter and Vorlauff.
  • Grist Hydrator Assembly is top-mounted and post hot/cold liquor mixing station for consistent grist hydration of the Mash.
  • Under Screen CIP System with sprayer head assemblies allow bottom of Lauter screens and vessel dish bottom to be cleaned in place.
  • RTD Mash Temperature sensor for monitoring internal mash temperature inserts into welded Thermowell on vessel sidewall. Removable from the vessel’s exterior in event of probe failure, even while vessel is full.
  • Sparge Assembly and Hot/Cold mixing spool with manual globe valves to allow both hot and cold liquor to be blended en route to Mash Tun or Sparge ring assembly.
  • Digital flow meter allows for accurate strike temperatures, liquor volume measurements, consistent liquor to grist ratios and batch totalizer for monitoring total strike/sparge volumes.
  • Flu Ventilation pipe to prevent vacuum formation and balance tank pressure for atmospheric equalization during mashing, filling and emptying vessel.
  • CIP Tank Spray ball has spinner spray heads and under screen CIP
  • Lauter Tun Manometer level gauges to monitor mash bed pressure differential.
  • Interior vessel Illumination, natural spectrum light mounted inside vessel dome.
  • Adjustable Footpads ball on plates, allow for leveling of vessel on sloped floors.

 

1.2   1 Unit – Brew Kettle/Whirlpool

  • 304ss Steam Fired Mash Tun/Brew Kettle Vessel interior and exterior are #4 brushed finish. Domed Top and insulated with a minimum 80mm of high heat Rockwool insulation. 18” Glass top manway with optional client’s logo etched onto glass lid.
  • Dual Independent Steam Jackets include bottom steam jacket and cylindrical side steam jacket, which allows initial running’s to be preheated with bottom jackets during initial lauter runoff.
  • Integral Tangential Inlet for optimal whirlpool effect and trub/hop settling.
  • 8” Ventilation Stack Condensation ring, directs condensate outside vessel. 8” Brew Kettle Vent to the exterior of the building, with customer provided stainless ventilation stack, to be installed by mechanical contractor.
  • RTD Mash Temperature sensor for monitoring internal mash temperature inserts into welded Thermowell on vessel sidewall. Removable from the vessel’s exterior in event of probe failure, even while vessel is full.
  • Wort Pump with variable speed frequency drive control, 230/460V 3ph 60HZ.
  • CIP Tank Spray ball system with dual static spray heads offer an ideal spray pattern for clean-in-place operations and complete interior vessel coverage. CIP sprayballs and CIP piping are 316ss to assure longevity of the system.

 

1.3__1 Unit – Integrated Control Panel

  • Industrial Touchscreen Control Panel, 304ss, watertight case. Mounted on brewer’s platform with 9” touchscreen Siemens controlled brewers CPU Integrated module.
  • Integral Controls allows for intuitive Brewhouse operation and Cellar Control functions from one central location on the Brewhouse platform. Includes readouts and controls for HLT, CLT, Brew Kettle, Lauter Tun,
  • Pump Controls and Variable Speed frequency drive for Mash Pump and on/off controls for Hot Liquor Pump.
  • Interior vessel Illumination natural spectrum light mounted inside vessel dome.
  • Adjustable Footpads ball on plates, allow for leveling of vessel on sloped floors.

 

1.4     1 Unit – Plate Heat exchanger

  • 304ss 2-Stage Plate Heat Exchanger for chilling 200°f Wort to 50°f with 10bbl/30minutes knockout capability. Stainless steel plates and frame assembly.
  • Wort Thermometer upon exit of PHE to accurately stabilize wort temperature.
  • Aeration Stone Assembly, including 3A certified Tee’s, non-threaded sanitary sintered aeration stone and sanitary gas check valve, with sight glass.

 

1.5     1 unit – Working Platform

  • 304ss Staging Platform between Brew House Vessels, with stainless non-slip grating, stairs, and handrails. Can be configured to your location and design layout.
  • 304ss Frame Assembly, with mounted hard piping firmly affixed.
  • Adjustable Levelers to provide a level platform regardless of floor slope.
